POPULAR singer songwriter Jack L is set to bring his hit show “Chez Jack L” to The Spirit Store in Dundalk later this month.

The Kildare man’s show has received rave reviews after an extended run in Ireland and in Europe. Now the show is coming to Dundalk before Jack L takes it to Edinburgh.

According to the organisers of The Spirit Store gig, tickets for Chez Jack L “won’t last long so music fans are being encouraged to snap them up now”.

Jack L first performed a show called Chez Jack L a few years ago, based on the music of a composer he admired greatly, Jacque Brel.

The “astonishing” show was an enormous hit. Scheduled to run for three weeks in Dublin, it ran for four sell out months.

Chez Jack L followed that success with a smash hit run throughout Ireland and Europe. Jack L is now planning to preview this show in Dundalk before he takes it to Edinburgh in late August.

Jack L is best known for his deep baritone voice and his single ‘Georgie Boy’ which was taken from an album released in 1999 called ‘Metropolis Blue’.

This was followed in 2001 by the album ‘Universe’. He also appeared with Nick Cave and writer Patrick McCabe in a series of performances mixing spoken word, poetry reading and song.

The show is due to take place on Tuesday, August 16. Tickets cost e20. For more information visit www.spiritstore.ie.
