THE staff at popular Dundalk hair salon Cutting Crew turned themselves into Marylin Monroe look-alikes as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
The ladies donned blonde wigs and Marylin’s signature white pleated dress with a plunging neckline to transform themselves into the American actress and model. Monroes’ films included ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’, and ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’.
The red carpet was also rolled out for the birthday bash, which took place at the Clanbrassil Street premises on Saturday, May 21.
Delighted customers were treated to champagne and strawberries and goodie bags at the glamorous, Hollywood-style event.
They were also shown hair and beauty demonstrations, won some fabulous spot prizes, and were able to avail of 20 per cent off all retail products.
All of the proceeds raised from the monster raffle held at the hair salon will be donated to the Dundalk Schoolboy League (DSL).
Prizes included a luxury hamper worth e1,200; one year’s free L’Oreal colour, one year’s supply of haircare products by Schwarzkopf; one pair of GHD’s, flip-in hair extensions and a Guess handbag.
