Happy feet step out for Funny Feet Day

The team at Mizu Hair Salon were among a large number of people who donned their funniest footwear to take part in Funny Feet Day in Dundalk today, Friday. The event is a fundraiser for a visionary new project - The Cara Cancer Care Centre. The project is the brainchild of a number of local cancer survivors who want to set up a centre to support cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families in Dundalk.

The team at Mizu Hair Salon were among a large number of people who donned their funniest footwear to take part in Funny Feet Day in Dundalk today, Friday. The event is a fundraiser for a visionary new project - The Cara Cancer Care Centre. The project is the brainchild of a number of local cancer survivors who want to set up a centre to support cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families in Dundalk.

If successful, the centre will be run on a volunteer basis. The team are still looking for a house or vacant premises in Dundalk that could be used to house the facility.

A dedicated team of local cancer survivors, and those affected by it, have bee working around the clock in recent days to ensure this Fridays novelty fundraiser is a success. The Cara Cancer Care Centre has set up a Facebook page to enable local people to keep up with this exciting iniative and find out about more fundraising plans for the centre.
