Lee to return to LIR radio

FANS of former Dundalk FM radio presenter Harry Lee will be delighted to see his return to the airwaves on Sunday, June 19.

FANS of former Dundalk FM radio presenter Harry Lee will be delighted to see his return to the airwaves on Sunday, June 19.

Harry is joining a new station called “Louth Internet Radio” (LIR), which will broadcast exclusively on the web from Main Street, Blackrock.

The first broadcast will coincide with the annual Blackrock Tidy Towns’ Raft Race. LIR will be available online via www.louthinternetradio.com, from Shoutcast.com and on the Shoutcast Iphone App.

The station will have a mixture of talk, interviews, light entertainment, sport and music and will be promoted online via Facebook and Twitter.

“I am delighted to be going back on the air. I have had a few offers and this one seemed to be the way to go as people are listening to radio via the internet these days. I can’t wait,” said Harry.

The station is being set up by Blackrock man Jason McGee with Harry. The pair are looking for more presenters to join the LIR team.

“I have always wanted to do a media project like this and with a background in web design it seemed like the obvious way to go,” said Jason.

“The best thing is that people will be able to tune in from all over Louth, Ireland and the world with the click of a button.

The first broadcast is from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, June 19 with a regular programme schedule starting in mid July. For more information telephone 083-3673539.
