Pub gig to raise funds

TWO Dundalk musicians are inviting members of the public to sing their heart out with them for a charity fundraiser.

Robbie Ryan and Conor McCaughley, members of The Clueless, a Dundalk two-piece band, are performing in The Sportsmans on Saturday, June 18.

Robbie and Conor are well known in Dundalk having performed extensively in the town and further afield and are looking forward to the upcoming charity gig.

“We’re hoping that as many people as people come along to the gig as it’s for a great cause. In aid of Habitat for Humanity, I am one of a team of people heading to Ethiopia for more than two weeks to build houses for aids orphans,” said lead singer and guitarist, Conor.

“Of course there are many worthy causes and people have been generous in the past as I have travelled to Africa for the past three summers, but we are appealing for people to give just e5 to come along on the night. If our music is not enough, then maybe the free food and raffle will tempt people to come along.”

The Ravensdale man has organised table quizzes to help raise funds in previous years but has opted for the music event this year and hopes that it will hit the right note.

“We’ve had plenty of people generating prizes for the raffle. We’ll sing and play our hearts out and there is sure to be a surprise or two,” he saids.
