THERE are few more picturesque places to get wed in this area than Carlingford and brides-to-be will be able to get a flavour of what their wedding might look like in the seaside village this weekend when the Four Seasons Hotel hosts their wedding showcase.
The event – which takes place on both Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm each day - will see the hotel showcase its smaller wedding suite, which is ideal for weddings with around 100-120 guests.
It will give a real insight to what the Four Seasons has to offer and wedding co-ordinator Lorraine Cunningham expects there to be a big interest in the event over the course of the weekend.
She said: “The last time we hosted a showcase like this, we couldn’t cope with the crowd so that’s why we decided to extend it into a second day.
“We’ll have the room setup on the day as if a wedding were about to take place there and we’ll also be doing special winter offers as well.
“The room we’re setting up is the smaller suite, which is ideal for weddings with around 100 to 120 guests, but of course we’re capable of hosting a lot more guests than that,” she said.
The hotel has a strict one wedding a day policy and each bride and groom as the benefit of the Four Seasons’ wedding team, led by Lorraine, to look after them on the day.
Amongst the perks of booking your big day at the Four Seasons are a red carpet welcome with champagne for the bridal party, sparkling wine or bucks fizz reception for all guests on arrival, tea/coffee, heart shaped shortbread, miniature scones and chocolate dipped fruits for all guests on arrival, use of the hotel gardens for photographs, a five course dinner, linen tablecloths, napkins and floral centrepieces for each table, fairylight backdrop for the top table, chair covers for all seats with a choice of bows, chocolate favours for your guests, an evening buffet of sandwiches, cocktails sausages and chicken goujons, a bridal suite on your wedding night as well as two further complimentary bedrooms and a discounted accommodation rate for all wedding guests.
There are many more attractive reasons to book the Four Seasons and they will all be on show at the hotel this weekend.
Admission is free on the day and Lorraine and her team will be on hand to answer any queries you might have.
