THE recent fashion show at the 5th annual Knockbridge Vintage Rally proved such a success that the organisers have been asked to run another one in October in the local Community Centre.
The fashion show was a welcome addition to the ever-popular vintage rally on September 11 after Rose McGeeney of the Knockbridge Vintage Club had approached Joanne Lynch to organise the event.
While no one was quite sure how the event would go beforehand, it proved to be a major success with the marquee packed for the event. Some people even had to be turned away such was the interest in the event.
Speaking to The Dundalk Democrat about the fashion show, organiser Joanne Lynch said she was thrilled with the response to it.
She said: “ We asked people locally if they held onto any old clothes or special outfits. We were so surprised with what we received and the condition of the clothes received was excellent.”
Joanne thanked the “brilliant” Mona Daly who compered on the day as well as Aine Corcoran from After Sybil in Main Street, Blackrock, who did the second half of the show.
A date for the new show is to be confirmed soon.
