TALENTED young performers in Dundalk are being given the opportunity to shine at an upcoming audition for RTÉ’s ‘Show Off Or Get Off”.

The Dundalk audition for the programme is due to take place on Friday, July 22. Aimed at eight to 12-year-olds, entrants can perform alone or in groups of no larger than eight people.

If you can sing, dance, burp the alphabet or spell the word ‘Antidisestablish mentarianism’ in three seconds flat then you might have what it takes to succeed.

Any young person in the Dundalk area who has an outstanding talent such as kissing their own elbow or squirting milk out of their nose is being invited to attend the audition.

The show’s team of producers and camera crew will visit Dundalk and 11 other locations around the country in the coming weeks. From each location, six acts will be selected to go on to the next stage of the competition.

The public will then be invited to vote for their favourite. The competition will start on air in September and be broadcast over the autumn on elev8, weekdays at 4.30pm on RTÉ Two.
