Peter Mark wins award

PETER Mark Hair Salon, Dundalk has been crowned winners of Salon Design Award at the Annual Schwarzkopf Professional Irish Hairdressing Business Awards which took place yesterday (Monday, October 24).

PETER Mark Hair Salon, Dundalk has been crowned winners of Salon Design Award at the Annual Schwarzkopf Professional Irish Hairdressing Business Awards which took place yesterday (Monday, October 24).

This was the first nomination for the salon in the Schwarzkopf Awards. The award recognised the creative design and flair of the Salon, which is situated in Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk.

Speaking on their win, Project Design manager Sean O’Neill, said: “Peter Mark are very happy to win this award on what is a very special year for Peter Mark – our 50 Year in business anniversary”.

Speaking about the competition, Peter Mark Dundalk manager Emma Fitzpatrick said: “Both staff and clients love our new salon design and especially our new massage basins. We were so happy to be nominated and to be recognised by the Schwarzkopf brand.”

The Awards, which are now in their ninth year, recognise exceptional business acumen and the most talented and committed salons in the Irish hairdressing industry.

There were 17 different categories in this year’s Awards including: Salon Design Award, the Social Responsibility Award and Marketing Salon of the Year Award. This year’s Awards also recognised and rewarded new talent within the industry through a new category; Trainee of the Year Award.

Among this year’s judging panel were Schwarzkopf Global Business Ambassador Anthony Whitaker, Liam Murphy, President, Henkel UK & Ireland and Sarah Manning, Editor of Creative Head Magazine.
