Team invents the Currizza
SEVEN students from St Mary’s College Dundalk have invented the ‘Currizza’ for a Pizza Apprentice competition being run by Eno’ until April.
The team called ‘The Maristenos’ are pictured (back row) Emma Walsh, Avenue Road; Glenn McCourt, Manydown; Shane Rice, Bay Estate; Eanna Toner, Mount Pleasant; Ciaran Murphy, Blackrock; and (front row) Karen O’Rourke, Bay Estate; and Loren Murnaghan, Dublin Street.
After much brainstorming, experimenting with ingredients and flavours and most importantly taste testing, the team created the revolutionary ‘Currizza’.
It has lean tender chicken breast pieces drizzled in a rich, spicy, and aromatic, low fat curry sauce presented on a stone baked pizza base accompanied by a crisp and refreshing salad.
The pizza will be launched on the Eno’ menu on February 9 for 11 days. Every sale of this pizza will earn this team three points and 10% of proceeds will go to St Vincent de Paul Dundalk. The public can vote via the Eno’ website for the pizza.
