Family of slain mother speak out

Brother and sister of Jacqueline, John and Marie McDonagh have said how their sister’s children just want their mum back.

“We just want to hug and kiss the children because they know their mother’s in Heaven,” John explained. “ My heart is just breaking for them and my sister should be here getting them ready for school. “

He spoke of the children’s anguish since the tragic death of their mother.

“The kids are constantly crying and they just want their mummy, no child should have to endure this pain,” he continued.

“The only thing we have left are pictures and memories but we will make sure Jacqueline’s children never forget such a fantastic mum. Jacqueline lived for her children and their young hearts are aching for their mum because they did everything together.”

Jacqueline’s brother added that his sister had a passion for fashion and that she was “always in great form.”

Meanwhile, grieving sister Marie revealed how their parents Christy and Winnie, along with sister Ellen and brothers Michael, Patrick, Martin, Dave, are in a “living hell”.

“Our other brothers and sisters are just crying all the time and it just breaks our heart to see two parents mourning the loss of their daughter. She’s now an angel in Heaven. She just loved life and although my dad had three daughters, Jacqueline was always the special one,” Marie said this week.

“Jacqueline was always telling us how much she loved us. She was such a free spirit and was just the life and soul of the party. I can’t believe I won’t be able to speak to my beautiful sister again and we’ll never get over this nightmare.”

Grieving John praised everybody who supported the families since her sister’s death: “We’ve been overwhelmed with the support we’ve received since we lost our sister and we can’t thank people enough.

“Laying Jacqueline to rest will be the worst day of our lives but we will all try and be strong for her children and our parents.”

It’s expected that Jacqueline will be laid to rest sometime this week.
